The more than 1,200 year-old winegrowing village of Rhodt is located beneath the castle ruins of Rietburg, in the heart of the Palatinate region.
Farsighted and courageous men united here in 1958 and established the Rietburg Wine Cooperative. They aimed to strengthen their forces on the market.
Over the years, the Rietburg Wine Cooperative became a significant player in the German wine market. Today over 300 winegrowing members belong to the cooperative with a vineyard area of more than 400 hectares.
The perfect soil conditions as well as the favourable climate of the Palatinate allow planting of a wide number of white and red grape varieties. Today the excellent wines from Rietburg are well known. Rietburg is an important producer for Palatinate wines.
Our wines have gained national and international acclaim over the years. Producing excellent wines with an unmistakable and clear taste profile is most important to us.
From pruning the vines to harvesting the grapes and making the wine, quality is our focus.
A continuous dialogue between all partners, an attitude of responsibility and use of the most up-to-date techniques set our wines apart.
